Description	:	Charles B. Carter, son of the late Henry and Hannah M. Carter was born in Stark County, Ohio April 22nd, 1855 and passed away at his home south of Nichols, Iowa, March 19, 1920 at age 64 years, 10 months and 27 days. At age of three years, he came from Ohio to Iowa with his parents. He resided at Sweetland Center for several years. He became a member of the Methodist Church at that place and led a consistent Christian life. He was united in marriage to Ola Chasteen, March 14, 1889. She and the following... Read More	Charles B. Carter, son of the late Henry and Hannah M. Carter was born in Stark County, Ohio April 22nd, 1855 and passed away at his home south of Nichols, Iowa, March 19, 1920 at age 64 years, 10 months and 27 days. At age of three years, he came from Ohio to Iowa with his parents. He resided at Sweetland Center for several years. He became a member of the Methodist Church at that place and led a consistent Christian life. He was united in marriage to Ola Chasteen, March 14, 1889. She and the following seven children survive. Mrs. Ward(Vera) McMahon of Cedar Valley, Mrs. Arthur (Erma) Buckman of Wilton, Iowa, Glen of West Liberty, and Vernie, Harold, Alfred and Edwin at home. Three brothers and two sisters, James, Alfred and William of Sweetland, Mrs. Mary Ellen Flint of Muscatine and Mrs. Sarah Hebrew of Des Moines, Iowa also survive. He was a kind and loving Father and Husband. Always willing to do a favor or a friendly act when called upon. Funeral services were conducted over the remains at two o'clock, Monday afternoon at the Methodist Church, West Liberty, Iowa. The Rev. A.B. Cadwell conducting the service. Interment was made in Oakridge Cemetery. Six nephews' acted as pall bear's. Albert, Reginald, Alfred, Ray, Elvin and Clarence Carter. Family Clipping Thanks to Shirley Dotson
