Description	:	Charles B. Breckenridge, 61, of 794 East Main, died today at 2:30am at Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines following a two year illness. He had been employed as a driver for Wapello County since 1940. He was born October 27, 1909 at Laddsdale the son of Harve and Ester Christy Breckenridge. Breckenridge, 61, of 794 East Main, died today at 2:30am at Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines following a two year illness. He had been employed as a driver for Wapello County since 1940. He was born October 27, 1909 at Laddsdale the son of Harve and Ester Christy Breckenridge. He was a resident of Ottumwa most of his live. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He entered the service April 13, 1943 at Camp Dodge and was discharged October 11, 1945 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. He was a post commander of the local American Legion, a member of the Eagles Lodge, and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are one son, Robert E. Breckenridge of Ottumwa, three grandchildren and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1:30pm at Johnson Funeral Chapel with burial in the Shaul cemetery where military services will be in charge of the American Legion. Members of the Legion will serve as pallbearers and the casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
