Description	:	Charles Bush LISBON — Charles C. Bush, 76, formerly of Green Street, died at 10:04 AM Thursday at the Vista Centre following a lengthy illness. Born July 6, 1930 in East Palestine, he was a son of the late Cecil Charles and Gladys M. (Monk) Bush. Chuck retired in 1994 from the Columbiana County Highway Department where he had worked as a truck driver for 27 years. Previously, he had worked as a welder in area strip mines. Bush, 76, formerly of Green Street, died at 10:04 AM Thursday at the Vista Centre following a lengthy illness. Born July 6, 1930 in East Palestine, he was a son of the late Cecil Charles and Gladys M. (Monk) Bush. Chuck retired in 1994 from the Columbiana County Highway Department where he had worked as a truck driver for 27 years. Previously, he had worked as a welder in area strip mines. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lisbon, Lisbon Senior Citizens, and was a member and past president of the Lisbon Lions Club. Chuck was a 1948 graduate of East Palestine High School where he held several athletic records. He played minor league baseball for the Pirates at one time and also played baseball and softball in area leagues for many years. Survivors include his companion, Dona Vincent, of Lisbon; his children Rusty (Debbie) Bush of Salem, Eric Bush of East Palestine, Linda (Mike) Lenigar of Salem, and Midge (Joe) Bonam of Salineville; a brother Jim (Sandy ) Bush of Columbiana; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Kathy Lee Hiscox, whom he married December 20, 1961, died in 2003. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Gwen Lewis, and a brother, Harold Bush. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Betsy Schenk officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 PM this evening and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
