| Description | : | Karl Kristian Jensen (Anglicized to Charles Christian) was born in Mandal, Norway. He came to the United States in 1881 or '82 and first settled around Leland, Illinois, with his father, Jens Gunderson (it's believed that his mother died in Norway; Jens is buried in Little Indian Creek Cemetery in LaSalle County, Illinois.) Charles later moved to Clinton, Iowa, and married Josephine Olsen December 24, 1888. She died in 1925. He later married Anna Jensen, widow of his brother Gunder Jensen. |
