MAN DIES AFTER KICK BY HORSE Kempton, June 28 -- Charles Dallas Warner, widely-known farmer and horseman of Jeffer- son township, died en route to a hospital Sunday night after he was kicked by a horse during a rodeo at Kirklin. Mr. Warner, started for the race which was sponsored by the Clinton County Shriners organization, was handing tickets to participants at the beginning of the race when he walked behind one horse and was felled by a blow in the side from the horse's hoof. He was knocked unconscious and died about 20 minutes later en route to the Clinton County hospital at Frankfort. The accident occurred about 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kempton Methodist church with the Rev. David Gosser in charge. Burial will be in the Kempton cemetery. The body will be removed from the McMullan Funeral home here to the residence, three miles southwest of Kempton, where friends may call after 10 a. m. Tuesday. The body will be removed to the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Order of Eastern Star will conduct services, at 9 a.m. and the Masonic order will assist with the funeral services. Mr. Warner was born Oct. 11, 1901, in Tipton county to Jesse E. and Carrie (Yarling) Warner. On July 11, 1925, he was married to Eva Trimble of near Windfall. The Warners resided northwest of Windfall until about 12 years ago when they moved to their present home. Mr. Warner was a member of the Prairie Township Saddle club and numerous Masonic orders. They were the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis; the White Shrine of Kokomo; F. and A.M. No 692 of Kempton; Order of Eastern Star, No. 527, and the Tipton County Past Masters association. Survivors are the widow; one son, Richard Warner of Prairie township; one daughter, Phyllis Warner at home; and two sisters, Mabel Little of Elwood, and Esther Culbertson of Detroit, Mich.
