Read More	Skinner, Dewey Contributed by Beverly Henley Columbia City Post – Whitley County, Indiana January 6, 1945, Page 6 Dewey Skinner, 46, resident of Columbia City until nine years ago, died suddenly at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon following a heart attack at his home in LaGrange. At the age of 15 Mr. Skinner took employment at the Peabody Mills in this city and was an employee of the company for a number of years. During the past few years he had been employed by the Kirsch Company at Sturgis, Mich., manufacturers at one time of curtain rods and blinds but now war production. Mr. Skinner was the son of Madison and Ida Weeks Skinner and was born in Noble County Oct. 13, 1898. His parents moved to Columbia City when he was a small boy. He is survived by his widow, the former Flossie Hillsdale, daughter of Mrs. Della Hapner, resident of Columbia City at one time, now living at Angola; a daughter, Mrs. Philip Marks and a twin granddaughter and grandson, James and Janice Marks of LaGrange, a stepson Robert Croy and a grandson, Billy Croy of Angola; one half-brother, Omar Whitman, chief of police in this city, and half sister, Dawn Whiteman Loe of this city. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at LaGrange. Committal services will be held at 2:30 o'clock in South Park Cemetery south of Columbia City.
