Description	:	Charles "Charlie" Edward Zinn, 83, of Shippensburg, formerly of Hanover, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Shippensburg Health Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Lorraine Mae (Bankert) Zinn for 58 years. Born February 7, 1930 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Maurice Edward and Bertha Henrietta (Leese) Zinn. Mr. Zinn was employed by Black and Decker for 35 years before the plant closed. He was a life member of the Patriotic Order Sons of America. Read More	Charles "Charlie" Edward Zinn, 83, of Shippensburg, formerly of Hanover, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Shippensburg Health Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Lorraine Mae (Bankert) Zinn for 58 years. Born February 7, 1930 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Maurice Edward and Bertha Henrietta (Leese) Zinn. Mr. Zinn was employed by Black and Decker for 35 years before the plant closed. He was a life member of the Patriotic Order Sons of America. Charles was very detailed oriented and enjoyed models, woodworking, creating small furniture, and carving small birds. When he was no longer able to create things in wood, he took up embroidery; finishing his wife's projects and creating some of his own. In addition to his wife, Mr. Zinn is survived by his daughter, Colleen Zinn and her husband Douglass Joyce of Hillsborough, NC; 5 nieces; and 1 nephew. Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne Louise Saltzgiver. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Zinn will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Rev. Larry M. Estepp officiating.
