Read More	Obituary Charles Edwin Davis Charles Edwin Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Squire Armstrong Davis was born January 1, 1860 in Carroll County, Iowa, and died at his home June 5, 1928. He was 68 years, 6 months and 5 days old at the time of his death. January 1, 1890, he was united in marriage to Minnie B. Piper. To this union three children were born, Ada Myrtle, Edwin Doliver, and Lawrence Thomas. He also leaves eight grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. John Peed of Osceola, IA., Mrs. J. E. Davidson and Mrs. F. U. Anderson, both of Coon Rapids, to mourn his death. Thirty years ago he joined the church of Carrollton of which he remained a faithful member. He was a very industrious, hard working man and was a successful farmer. Mr. Davis possessed high ideals and a good character, which endeared him to his family, his friends', and neighbors. Mr. Davis suffered much with asthma and rheumatism, spent time, and means to find relief, but little was found. His last illness was of a week's duration. He was bedfast only four days. The entire community mourns the loss of this good man and all stand in sympathy with the bereaved. Carroll Herald Times
