The funeral will be held at 10o'clock Friday morning from the Christian church ------------------------------------------------------------ Charles E. [Ephriam] Christopherson was born in Christiana, Norway, June 5, 1864. His parents moved to the United States when he four years old, settling in Utah. As a young man he moved to Burlington, Wyoming, where he lived until 1904 when he moved to Joliet. Charlotte Hawkins was born in Oxford, Idaho, September 2, 1872. She married William Thornton in Idaho in 1889. One child, Marinda, was born of this marriage. Following the death of Mr. Thornton, Charlotte went to Burlington, Wyoming, where she married Charles Christopherson, on December 25, 1899. Charles and Charlotte Christopherson came to Joliet in 1904. He was first employed in shearing sheep in the area and decided to stay. They homesteaded in the Cole Creek area in 1909, raising wheat and cattle. Charles was the first Rawleigh Products salesman in the area, traveling about in a buggy specially rigged to handle all the products of the line. He also supplemented his family income as a carpenter and musician. Charlotte remained on the ranch and raised the family. Nine children were born to Charles and Charlotte.
