He was very head strong, and an invalid for most of his adult life suffering from ulcerated sores on his legs. He would not go to a Dr. preferring to treat the sores with home remedy. He would not work the farm and did not like to work. At one time, friends took him to the Dr. and the ulcers were nearly cured. The Dr. wanted to graft some of his skin over the sores...
