CRAMOTT Gus C. Cramott passed away at his home Sunday morning after an illness of more than a year, at the age of 83 years. Mr. Cramott was born in Switzerland on January 12, 1854, and came to this country when 15 years old. September 27, 1876, he was united in marriage to Miss Frances Thomas. They lived at Ash Grove, Iowa for 10 years, then moved to Sioux Rapids IA, and later came to Moody County SD, where they improved a quarter of land. They have lived in this city for 28 years. To this union were born seven children, six of whom are living. They are George of Hayti; Clara Scrivens of Rapid City; Edna LaFurge, Joliet, Mont; Laura and Sadie LaFurge of Holabird; and Sylvia Chamley of Egan. There are 39 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Mr. Cramott was a member of the Masonic order and for many years was city assessor until his health began to fail. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. R. E. Graves. Burial was in the Hillsdale cemetery.
