I have transcribed the obituary as written. --------------- Obituary From "Ottumwa Daily Courier," Wednesday, January 4, 1933, Page 9: AGED LOCAL PLASTERER IS SUMMONED Charles Harvey Nation, 75 years old, a resident of Ottumwa for seventy-two years, diefd at 3:45 a.m. today at his home, 722 Pershing avenue. He was born at Mt. Pleasant, October 17, 1857. A plasterer by trade, Mr. Nation had worked on the construction of a large number of public and private buildings in Ottumwa. He was a member of the bricklayers' and plasterers' union No. 9, of Ottumwa. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Effie Nation; six children, Mrs. Harry Aten of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Homer Jamison, Ted Nation, Mrs. Paul Caster, Mrs. Owen Courtney and Mrs. Walter Colville, all of Ottumwa, and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the residence, conducted by the Rev. C.R. Lawrence, pastor of the Benton Street Presbyterian church. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery. Members of the bricklayers and plasterers' union will be pallbearers.
