Edwards died at his home in St. Paul, Minn., Friday, July 16, 1909, after an illness of two days, the culmination of three years of failing health. Mr. Edwards was born in Broom county, New York, October 17, 1829, was married December 6, 1848, in Bradford county, Penn., to Lavina Ferguson; they came to Kansas in the spring of 1868, locating four miles south of El Dorado, later retired from the farm, moved here and resided... Edwards died at his home in St. Paul, Minn., Friday, July 16, 1909, after an illness of two days, the culmination of three years of failing health. Mr. Edwards was born in Broom county, New York, October 17, 1829, was married December 6, 1848, in Bradford county, Penn., to Lavina Ferguson; they came to Kansas in the spring of 1868, locating four miles south of El Dorado, later retired from the farm, moved here and resided many years. Mr. Edwards was a member of the Christian church and of the I.O.O.F. lodge. He was a good man, loving and beloved in his family and highly esteemed by all. Two children, Mrs. Ida Halstead of St. Paul, Minn., and Bert Edwards of El Dorado, survive. The body was brought here accompanied by Mrs. Halstead and her daughter, Miss Maude and funeral services were held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Edwards on Taylor street, Friday afternoon, July 23, at 2:30 conducted by F.J.
