Jones Charles Howard Jones, 64, of 924 Queen Ann, was dead on arrival to Ottumwa Hospital Sunday at p.m. He was a resident of Ottumwa most of his life and was a retired employe of John Morrell & Co. with 45 year’s service in the meat stock office. He was born Nov. 16, 1906 in Davis County, the son of Isaac and Emma Jane Worrell Jones. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Manka of Omaha, and Mrs. Elinor Brunk of Centerville; seven grandchildren; one brother, John Jones of Delta, two sisters, Mrs. Martha Heckart of Unionville and Mrs. Ada Higbee of Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. Brown Garlock of the Wesley Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jack Cameron, Vern Miller, Philo Havens, Wayne Halden, Marvin Worth and Charles R. Canny.
