He had retired as a Rock Island railroad employee in 1930. Born Aug. 16, 1866, at Alvarado, Ind., he had lived in Cedar Rapids for 42 years. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Josephine, are a daughter, Mrs. A. C. Bramow of Cedar Rapids, and a son, Davis Douglass, Chicago; five step-children, Mrs. Thelma Schley of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Charles Jackson and Mrs. Fred Carr, both of Long Beach, Calif., and Shirley and Ross... Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Beatty chapel, with burial in the Masonic and Odd Fellows cemetery at Montezuma. I.O.O.F. services will be held at the grave at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the chapel."
