Unseld, 76, Is Buried In Holyoke Cemetery Funeral services were conducted in Holyoke Monday afternoon for Charles J. Unseld, who died at a local hospital Friday morning at 3:15 o'clock. The late Mr. Unseld had been in failing health several months. At the time of his death, he was 76 years, 8 months and 24 days old. Charles Jacob Unseld was born September 28, 1861 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His mother died when he was still a small child. At the age of 14 years he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He received his education in the Kalamazoo, Michigan schools and remained in that state until he was a young man. Having engaged in the occupation of meat cutting, which was followed by his father for many years, Mr. Unseld located in Texas when he was a young man. He remained in that state 30 years. He moved to Colorado in May 1930, locating near Amherst and Holyoke where he made his home with relatives. He moved into Holyoke last September, and, had since that time, made his home at the Central hotel. Survivors are his two nieces, Miss Cleda Unseld and Mrs. William Meusborn of near Holyoke, and one brother, Fred Unseld, of Chicago. Final rites were conducted at the Colver Brothers Funeral Home at 1:45 o'clock with Rev. Norman D. Renn, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Miss Nadine Douglas of Denver and Mrs. Art Spindler sang two songs, "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus" with Mrs. P.S. Struble playing the piano accompaniment. Burial was made in the Holyoke cemetery.
