Charles, son of Oluf and Caroline Jensen, was born on February 22, 1875 in Clinton County, Iowa and departed this life on October 18th, 1957 at the age of 82 years 7 months and 26 days. He came to Sac County in 1881 at the age of 6 years. He lived on a farm 4 miles south of Early until 1896, when he moved to a farm 2 miles south of Early. He was united in marriage with Lizzie Drury on March 22, 1901. Five children were born to this union. Two died in early years; Evelyn Adele in March 1907 and Ralph Marshall in March 1924. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He was the last one in his family. One daughter-in-law, Velma, departed this life six years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Jensen moved to 315 South 6th Street in Sac City in October 1938. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on March 22, 1951. He had been in failing health for about six months. He is survived by his widow of the home, three sons, Milton, Walter and Lawrence, two daughters-in-law, 5 grandchildren, and a number of other relatives. Relatives and friends from the following towns came to attend the last rites; Iowa City, Storm Lake, Lake View, Wall Lake, Nemaha and Early, all in Iowa and from towns in Minnesota also.
