The couple are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ackroyd, for many years residents of Neihart. Mrs. Ackroyd was formerly a Mrs. Johnson and by her first marriage had four children. The oldest, Mrs. Ida Dews, resides at Lewistown. The second, Charles Johnson, resides on a ranch in Belt Park, near Monarch, and the youngest is in the family of John McDonald, engineer at the Gagnon mine in Butte. The whereabouts of the other son are unknown. A young son of Mr. Ackroyd, by his first wife, who died in 1892, is a resident of Great Falls, making his home with Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Murphy, who have had charge of him ever since his mother died. Mr. Ackroyd, who was 55 years of age, lived at Neihart about 1899, having previously lived at Castle (MT), where he was married shortly before his removal to Neihart. His wife died at Neihart about 1892, leaving the one child. Mr. Ackroyd continued to live at Neihart until about 20 months ago, when he removed to British Columbia. Shortly before leaving Neihart, he was married to Mrs. Johnson who had resided in the camp for several years, and she was killed with him at Frank. -------------------------
