Description	:	Charles Kellner, eldest son of Joseph and Sophia Kellner, was born in Crown Point, Indiana, April 8, 1866 and died July 19, 1934. He came to Iowa with his parents to a farm in Dayton township in 1868. Shortly after they moved to a farm in Leroy township. He remained with his parents until the age of 21. He was then united in marriage to Reka Knoll, of Sumner. To this union two sons were born, Herman and John. Read More	Charles Kellner, eldest son of Joseph and Sophia Kellner, was born in Crown Point, Indiana, April 8, 1866 and died July 19, 1934. He came to Iowa with his parents to a farm in Dayton township in 1868. Shortly after they moved to a farm in Leroy township. He remained with his parents until the age of 21. He was then united in marriage to Reka Knoll, of Sumner. To this union two sons were born, Herman and John. After a separation of his wife and children in 1893 he moved to Sumner with his mother, where he remained until the time of her death, July 16 1926. The home was then broken and since that time until 1933 he made his home wherever he was employed. In the spring of 1933 he came to the home of his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas O'Connell, east of Frederika. His failing health was such care that he was taken to the Bremer county home 3 Jun 1934 where he was an inmate at his own expense, until his death. He is survived by two sons, Herman Kellner and John Kellner, of Hawkeye; two brothers, Joe Kellner, Nashua, and John Kellner, Waverly; one sister, Mrs. Thomas O'Connell, of Tripoli. Besides his parents, four sisters one brother preceded him in death; Mrs. Will Garner, Dena Kellner, Mrs. Mike Sullivan, Mrs. John O'Connell and Bernard Kellner. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church in this city, Saturday, July 21, at 10 am and burial at Fay cemetery, northeast of Tripoli. Rev. E.F.
