Description	:	LeRoy Wright, 78, of Keosauqua died at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, August 19, 1997 at the home of his son, Kent, in Camano Island, Washington. He was born September 4, 1918 in Van Tassell, Wyoming to Lilborn and Mae Woodside Wright. He married Ruth Ann Davis February 8, 1944 in Davenport, Iowa. She died October 20, 1979. He grew up in Hale, Missouri and moved to Keosauqua after Army service in World War II. Read More	LeRoy Wright, 78, of Keosauqua died at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, August 19, 1997 at the home of his son, Kent, in Camano Island, Washington. He was born September 4, 1918 in Van Tassell, Wyoming to Lilborn and Mae Woodside Wright. He married Ruth Ann Davis February 8, 1944 in Davenport, Iowa. She died October 20, 1979. He grew up in Hale, Missouri and moved to Keosauqua after Army service in World War II. He worked at Farmers Co-op Creamery, Keosauqua, Van Winkle Well Drillers, Salem, operated a service station in Keosauqua from 1960 until 1973 and was Keosauqua Superintendent of Streets until retiring. He was a member of Beer-Barker Post 113, American Legion, Keosauqua and Pheasants Forever, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are two sons, Kent and his wife, Bonita of Camano Island, Washington and Kirk and his wife, Janice of Plano, a daughter, Brenda Aldrich and her husband, Terry of Kirkwood, IL, five grandchildren, Darrin Wright, Shannon Watt, Kim Richardson and Karrie Guler, Chris Kline and a step-granddaughter, Amy Aldrich, six great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Frances Wright of Loveland, Colorado. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Willard, Lawrence, Leland and Irvin Wright and a sister, Laverna Van Winkle. Services were held Sunday, August 24, 1997 at the Keosauqua United Methodist Church by Rev. Samuel Subramanian. Interment following cremation in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Keosauqua, Iowa.
