Description	:	Charles Levi was born in Kentucky to parents, James and Sarah Elizabeth (Heckthorn) Gillihan. They moved to Coin, Iowa, then were going to move to Marlow, Oklahoma as Mr. Gillihan had purchased a farm there. James was going with the freight car with their possessions wen the freight car caught fire in the railroad yards in St. Joseph, MO. Mr. Gillihan lost his life. When Mrs. Gillihan proved up on the homestead she moved back to the Midwest and became a cook at the Bilby Ranch. There she met William Mitchell, who was a foreman there and the married and moved to the Skidmore vicinity. They lived on the Grisby farm, where many barrels of apples were shipped from Skidmore. Charley was married to Bessie Coston in 1927. Charley was a farmer and they lived two miles south and four miles west of Skidmore. They had two daughters, Norma Jean (King) and Charlene (Donald) Grahl. They retired in Skidmore. Charlie passed away in 1988. Information from The Home of the Punkin' Show-1980.
