Description	:	Charles Levi Nealeigh died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton, at the age of 91. He was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Hitchcock County, the son of the late William and Amy (Perkins) Nealeigh. Charles grew up in the Cornell Community where he graduated from country school. On Feb. 28, 1937, Charles married Ruth Duckworth at Trenton, and they spent their lives farming south of Trenton. He was a member of the Church of God in Trenton. Read More	Charles Levi Nealeigh died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton, at the age of 91. He was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Hitchcock County, the son of the late William and Amy (Perkins) Nealeigh. Charles grew up in the Cornell Community where he graduated from country school. On Feb. 28, 1937, Charles married Ruth Duckworth at Trenton, and they spent their lives farming south of Trenton. He was a member of the Church of God in Trenton. He cherished the people of the church, and was known by the community as a kind and caring neighbor and friend. He often quietly helped people in need without others knowing of his kindness. Charles began restoring Model A and Model T Fords at the age of 61, restoring a total of 16 in his lifetime, all of which he gave to his daughters and grandchildren. His love of working on these cars was well known, and he, Ruth, and family and friends drove them in many parades. He greatly enjoyed showing his cars to friends and those who stopped by to visit. In his younger years, he enjoyed coyote hunting, raising horses, and the friends that accompanied these pastimes. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Carl; an older brother Orval; an infant brother John; and four sisters, Mary Terrell, Myrtle Cole, Blanche Cole and Alice Nealeigh. Charles is survived by his wife, Ruth Nealeigh of Trenton; three daughters, Roberta and husband Roger Cross of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Yvonne Garner of Trenton, and Norma Nealeigh of Chadron; seven grandchildren, Kelly Pyritz, Jimmy Garner, Doug Cross, Jami Engberg, Jill Smith, Jennifer Kitt and Jon Garner; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Lloyd Nealeigh of Hastings; one sister Florence Frakes of Trenton; relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the Church of God in Trenton with Ken Nealeigh officiating. --from the Friday, March 21, 2003 McCook Gazette
