| Description | : | Lloyd, or "Spec" as he was known, was one of 7 children born to Minnie Sanders and Eugene Alonzo ("Gene") Coston. His father preceded Lloyd in death, forcing him to quit school at a young age to help support his family. He was a farmer most of his life for other people until he retired. On April 26, 1928, he married Sara Etta Johnson and the couple shared 63 years of marriage.
