Patrum, 91, Stilesville, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Cloverdale Convalescent and Rehabilitation Home in Cloverdale. Born Oct. 18, 1912, in Mooresville, he was the son of Arthur and Norris (Lang) Patrum. He married Thelma A. (Bender) Partrum in 1966. She preceded him in death. Born Oct. 18, 1912, in Mooresville, he was the son of Arthur and Norris (Lang) Patrum. He married Thelma A. (Bender) Partrum in 1966. She preceded him in death. Patrum was a heavy equipment operator for S&M Construction in Indianapolis for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Eminence Baptist Church and the Mooresville American Legion Post 1111. He was in the U.S. Army from 1943-5, serving in England and Germany with the 4th Armored Division. He was awarded the Croix de Guerre Aves Etiole de Bronze medal by the French government in April 1946. Survivors include son, David A. Patrum of Cannon, Ga.; brother, Norman A. Patrum of Stilesville; sister, Marianne Deitch of Metairie, La.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral was 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Carlisle and Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville. Pastor Sonny Ooley officiated. Burial at Bethel Friends Cemetery in Mooresville.
