Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, and watching wildlife. He is survived by his wife Donna; two sons; Paul (Jackie) Maddy of Albia, and Jeff (Gail) Maddy of Albia; one daughter, Becky (John) Harker of Ames, IA; three step-daughters; Crystal (Craig) Brady of Lovilia, Jolene (Joel) Hackett of Bussey, IA, Candis Bender (Roger Roff) of Lovilia, IA; 15 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and one sister Betty Chamberlain of Marshalltown, IA. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and brother James. Arrangements were handled by Gilbert-Boman Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Lovilia First Responders.
