BLOOMFIELD Charles Maxwell Bloomfield, only son of Foster and Katie Bloomfield of Beacon, was born at Hickory Grove, Septembr 17, 1894, and died December 19, 1930, as a result of an accident which occurred on the electric railway from Des Moines to Perry. An employe of the railroad, he was 36 years, three months and three days old. On September 21, 1919, he was married to Miss Effie Olds and to them was born two children. The place of his residence at the time of his death was 1314 east Fifteenth street, Des Moines. He leaves his wife and two children, Joshua Foster, aged 9, and Georgia Catherine, aged 8 years, his father and mother and three sisters, Mrs. May Sharp of Beacon, Jessie Ruth Mahaffey of Des Moines, and Mrs. Fannie Collins of Aurora, Ill. Funeral services were held at the home of his parents in Beacon Monday afternoon, December 22, his cousin, J.W. Dye of Oskaloosa, officiating. Music was furnished by Beacon ladies. Burial was made in the Beacon cemetery.
