Description	:	CUTLER - Charles Nelson Look, 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, April 26, 2012. He was born Dec. 16, 1927, in Whiting, son of the late Elmer B. and Frances E. (Preston) Look. He left school at an early age to serve his country during World War II, joining the Merchant Marines, then transferring to the U.S. Navy. Read More	CUTLER - Charles Nelson Look, 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, April 26, 2012. He was born Dec. 16, 1927, in Whiting, son of the late Elmer B. and Frances E. (Preston) Look. He left school at an early age to serve his country during World War II, joining the Merchant Marines, then transferring to the U.S. Navy. Upon his discharge he returned to high school graduating from Washington Academy, class of 1949. He was a very hard worker. He worked for many years as a clam digger, as well as a clam buyer, and for a short while as a lobster fisherman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was very active in his church, singing solos and serving the Lord. He was a member of Post No. 9 American Legion, Machias, and later a member of Stuart-Green Post No. 65, Lubec. He is survived by his children, Daniel Look and wife, Rebecca, Roger Look and Linda Behan, Gary Look and wife, Janelle, Beverly Holst and husband, Gregory, Peggy Look, Dwight Look and wife, Norine, and Tiffany Tate; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Look; two brothers, Orville "Lucky" and Elmer "Pete"; a sister, Sandra Beal; 10 grandchildren, Martin, Alisa, John, Nicole, Christie, Steven, Billie Jean, Nathan, Jenna and Johnny; great-grandchildren, Rick, James, Hannah, Michael, Unique, Jacob, Thomas, Andrea, Connor, Colin, McKenzie, Rachel, Trenton and Hunter; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Martin David; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann; and eight brothers and sisters, Marjorie, Marguerite, Doris, Harvey, Madeline, James, Richard and Joyce. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 4, at McClure Funeral Home, corner of Charles and Drisko streets, Machias, and 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Head of the River Baptist Church, Cutler, with the Rev. Scott Porter officiating. A reception will be immediately after the service. Interment with full military honors will be held 2 p.m. at Look Family Cemetery, Holmes Bay, Route 191, Whiting. Those wishing to remember Charles in a special way may make donations in his memory to Head of the River Baptist Church or a charity of one's choice.
