Description	:	NYHART RITES ON TUESDAY----One of Atchison county's finest citizens, Charles Oliver Nyhart, 78 died about 9:30 A.m. yesterday at his home, 517 South Sixth Street. His death was unexpected, although he had been in failing health for some time. Funeral services will be held at 2:p.m. tomorrow at the Stanton & Stanton chapel, the Rev. L. A. Nyhart was born in the Float neighborhood, south of Atchison, Jan 6, 1872, a son of Sylvester and Frances Bacher Nyhart, and lived all his life in Atchison County with the exception of the year 1901, when he farmed near Blackwell, Okla. On Dec. 11, 1896, he married Miss Maggie Christian, who survives with six children: Mrs. Letitia Rehfus, Asherville, N. C.; Mrs. Robert Chmidling (Frances), Atchison; Mrs. William Kley (Bessie), Atchison; Charles C. Nyhart, Lancaster; William D. Nyhart, Kansas City, Kas., and Sylvester Nyhart, Atchison; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs Ann Beying, Easton; Mrs Rosa Ash, Ashton, Kas; Mrs. Cora McCabe, Bremerton, Wash; Mrs Marie Poole, Grant's Pass, Ore, and two brothers, Louis Nyhart, Atchison and Will A Nyhart, Kansas City, Kas. Two brothers, John and Albert Nyhart, preceded him in death. In the early 1900's C. O. Nyhart purchased the J. H. Reisner farm on Highway US-59 southwest of Atchison, rearing his family there and residing on the farm until a year ago last March when he sold it to Henry Jacobsen and moved to Atchison.
