THE BURLINGAME ENTERPRISE (Burlingame, Kansas) - Thu - 12 Mar 1896 - Page 2 "Sad Indeed" The visitation of the death angel is always a source of grief, but more especially so when the one taken is young, and our fondest hopes and desires are centered in their future. To have them cast aside and to know that our baby is no more, it seems more than the heart can bear. But one comfort is the knowledge that the little one is safe on the other shore, for it is written, 'Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.' Charles Preston, son of Hova and Anna Engle, died March 4th, aged fourteen months. A large number of friends and neighbors of the bereaved parents gathered at the house where the funeral services were held. Rev. W. P. Kline made a very earnest and impressive talk after which the little form was taken to the Prairie Center cemetery and there tenderly laid to rest by sympathizing hands. May God, who alone can truly comfort, be a comfort to those whose hearts are so saddened. Contributed to THE ENTERPRISE
