He was born Jan. 12, 1901 in Talma. His first marriage was in Georgia to Emma Jane PERSON. She died in 1960. His second marriage was June 3, 1963 in South Bend to Johnsie GROSS. She died in 1972. He was born Jan. 12, 1901 in Talma. His first marriage was in Georgia to Emma Jane PERSON. She died in 1960. His second marriage was June 3, 1963 in South Bend to Johnsie GROSS. She died in 1972. He was a retired employee of the Studebaker corporation. He was a member of the Talma United Methodist church. He had resided in Rochester until 1950, when he moved to South Bend. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Jane) JOHNSON, Rochester; Mrs. Thomas (Roseann) MORRIS, Kokomo; one son, William TIPPY, Mishawaka; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert [TIPPY], Elkhart. One son preceded in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Foster & Good funeral home. The Rev. Paul B. STEVENSON will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester.
