Heuer of Story City, died at a hospital in Des Moines, Thursday following an operation performed four weeks ago. Mr. Richards had spent the winter at the home of his daughter here. He was born in Devonshire, Eng., June 26, 1852, and had made his home in Dows for many years. The body will be taken there Saturday following services at 12:15 p.m. from the Heuer home, in charge of the Rev. G.O.Bergeman. Services at Dows will be held from the Methodist church at 2?30 p.m. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery there. Besides the daughter here, Mr. Richards is survived by six other children: Ralph of Spirit Lake, Ed of Fergus Falls, Minn., Cecil of Spirit Lake, David of Milford, Tem of Dolliver and Clarence of Dows. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Emma Crabtree of Nevada, Mo., and a brother, Thomas, of Spirit Lake. *** His father was James Richards, who was born and died in England. His burial was March 2, 1887 Uny-Leland, Cornwill, England. There was no findagrave memorial. I was unable to find anything on his mother, Elizabeth Cross. *** Iowa Death Record for Charles Richards.
