Hagenbuck and Susan Edith Aldrich, was born March 2, 1877, at Arlington, Nebraska and passed to his reward August 30, 1963, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 28 days. He grew to manhood at Arlington and was united in marriage to Augusta Louise Krickava at Fremont Nebraska May 7, 1901. He grew to manhood at Arlington and was united in marriage to Augusta Louise Krickava at Fremont Nebraska May 7, 1901. To this union were born three sons, Vernon and Wayne of Monroe, Lloyd of Columbus and one daughter Mrs. Phillip (Bethene) Geier of Hardin, Montana. The family moved to Schuyler in 1908 where they resided until their move to Monroe in 1921. Mr. Hagenbuck was a Plumber and Tinner by trade and before his illness he was associated with his son Vernon in the grocery store. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Arlington. Mr. Hagenbuck loved sports, especially hunting and fishing. He served a number of years as a member of the Monroe Village Board and was a member of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He had many friends who mourn with his family in his passing. He is survived by his four children, Vernon, Lloyd, Bethene and Wayne; four grandchildren, Warren and Darrel Hagenbuck, Charles Geier, and Mrs. John Schreiber; two great grand-children, Mark and Scotty Schreiber; two sisters, Mrs. George (Helen) Osterman, Bristol, Colo. and Mrs. James (Effie) Snell, Hardin, Montana; six nephews and one niece; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, who passed away March 9, 1948, one granddaughter, his parents, three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services in charge of the Hasch Funeral Home were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 3, 1963 at the E. U. B. Church in Monroe with Rev. Guy Savage officiating. The choir Milton Meedel, Mrs. Leonard Geiser, Mrs. Johnny Weber and Ferd Seefeld sang "Does Jesus Care" and "Have Thine Own Way". They were accompanied by Mrs. Ferd Seefeld. Pallbearers were Robert Smoots, Ken Hurner, Lloyd Hill, Barney Pearson, John Ditter, and Dan Ziegler. Interment was in Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus.
