He attended public schools in Custer County. On May 13, 1925, he married Esther Bush at Gandy. They farmed near Stapleton until 1930 and then moved to Scottsbluff. They came to Hamilton County in 1942 and lived in the Marquette vicinity. Survivors include his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Shiflett of Dyke, VA, a brother Perl of Broken Bow, a sister Mr. Olive Jenkins of Stapleton, 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. Grand Island Independent Aug. 31, 1978. It is believed the Stalnaker family originally emigrated from Sweden. 1917 World War Draft Registration Charley S.
