Known for his affable and altruistic nature, he was a beloved husband and father; a devoted friend to all. A graduate of St. Christopher's School and Dartmouth College, he held an MBA from the University of Chicago. He worked in Chicago as a consultant with Deloitte and Touche, and then as Chief Financial Officer of Javo–Mex, Inc. His community spirit led to volunteer involvement as a pack leader for the Cub Scouts, longtime treasurer and board member of the College Heights Swimming Pool and former board member of the Rappahannock Area YMCA. He was an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church USA and served as an active and faithful member of his church, including diligent service on the stewardship and finance committees. He shared his passion for the outdoors with children, friends and family who ran, biked and sailed with him. One of his proudest accomplishments was to have completed the Beach to Battleship Ironman triathlon. The son of the late Charles Spurgeon Rowe and Margaret Durrett Rowe, he is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. He is also survived by his sister, brother, two stepsisters, four nephews, four nieces, and many cousins who cherished him.
