Dorothy Darby Brosius [1922-1985] Obituary The News (Frederick, MD) - April 19, 1938 Charles Thomas Brosius, Jr., well-known countian and General Road Superintendent of the Grove Lime Company, died suddenly this morning at his home in Lime Kiln. He would have been 59 years of age on May 27. Cause of death was a heart attack. The deceased was a son of the late Charles L. Brosius and Virginia Trundle Brosius. He spent his early life in Montgomery county near Barnesville but had lived in [Frederick county] for about the last forty years. Mr. Brosius had been associated with the Grove Lime Company for the last 35 to 40 years and had been a faithful and valuable member of the firm. He always took an interest in activities of the community. His political affiliation was with the Democratic party. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church, Buckeystown. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Genevieve Darby Brosius; his brothers, J. William Brosius, Adamstown; Edward R. and Bernard T. Brosius, Rockville; his sisters, Mrs. Claggett Hilton, Barnesville; Mrs. Lloyd Jones and Mrs. Bernard Jones, Dickerson' Mrs. Notley Davis, Thurston; his children, Mrs. George Leicester Thomas, Jr., Braddock; Miss Antoinette Grove Brosius, Miss Dorothy Darby Brosius and Charles Thomas Brosius, at home; and two grandchildren, George Leicester Thomas, III, and Charles Brosius Thomas.
