Description	:	Dec 15, 1927 Charles Tobias, 61, was killed almost instantly in Mechancisburg Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a heavy beam as a barn collapsed at the home of Wilber Tobias, brother, on Mill St. The collapse was caused by a heavy wind. The accident occurred shortly after Wilber and the latters son, Donald Tobias, had comleted the moving of the barn over a quarter of a mile. The accident occurred shortly after Wilber and the latters son, Donald Tobias, had comleted the moving of the barn over a quarter of a mile. Tobias skull was fractured by the large rafter and when he was picked up he was dead. Wilbur, owner of the barn, escaped serious injury by jumping through a window just as the structure came down but his son suffered a minor cut on the hand. The deceased was a former employee of the American Express Company having served that company for 18 years at Dayton. He was forced to give up the work 4 years ago because of poor eyesight. He is survived by one sister Mrs Nettie Snyder of Mechanicsburg and 3 brothers Wilber and William of Mechanicsburg and John oc Columbus.
