Read More	Published in the Blair Pilot December 14, 1927 (obituary provided by Sheila, contributor #47702527) Charles Ueberroth Mohr, aged 97 years, passed away Thursday afternoon, Dec. 8th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. S. Hadley, with whom he had lived for a number of years. He was born in Pennsylvania, Aug. 11, 1830, and was married there to Miss Caroline D. Brunner, Aug. 13, 1847. They came to Nebraska in 1869 locating first at West Point, then later coming to Arlington, which place has been his home ever since. He united with the church early in life and was always ready to do service for the Saviour he loved. He was a leader in organizing German M. E. churches, both here and at Norfolk and Madison. He truly lived a life well rounded out with years and full of good deeds. He is survived by ten children, forty-six grandchildren, sixty-nine great-grandchildren, and twenty-six great-great-grandchildren. His living descendants to date numbering 151. His children are quite widely scattered, Mrs. Emma Deihl, at Atkinson, Nebr.; Mrs. J. C. Van Hansen, at Los Angeles, Calif.; C. J. Mohr, at Schuyler, Nebr.; A. J. Mohr, at Fremont; and Mrs. Mary Rosenbaum, Mrs. W. S. Hadley and Thomas Mohr, at Arlington. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church, Saturday, Dec. 10th at two o’clock conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. W. Henderson, and the beautiful flowers and the large number who were present to pay their last respects to this fine old man bore testimony to the esteem in which “Grandpa” Mohr was held in the community. He was laid to rest in our peaceful cemetery beside the wife who had gone on before him years ago. Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society.
