Description	:	MR. CHARLES MCGUIRT ANSWERS LAST CALL Charles Vernon McGuirt died in a Government hospital at Greenville, S. C., Wednesday afternoon of Tuberculosis contracted while with the A. E. F. in France. Mr. McGuirt served two years in France and has been in a Government hospital for the past three years, two years of which time he has been confined to his bed. CHARLES MCGUIRT ANSWERS LAST CALL Charles Vernon McGuirt died in a Government hospital at Greenville, S. C., Wednesday afternoon of Tuberculosis contracted while with the A. E. F. in France. Mr. McGuirt served two years in France and has been in a Government hospital for the past three years, two years of which time he has been confined to his bed. Young McGuirt was 28 years of age and was a most excellent young man. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. He rendered faithful service in the war and bore his suffering since his return from the bloody conflict with the fortitude of a brave soldier. Until a year ago last June when his brother, Theron, died of the same malady contracted in the same manner, Charles was cheered and accompanied in his helpless condition by that brother, the two being in the same hospital and passing away their last years together, knowing that they must soon answer the last roll call and go up higher. McGuirt is survived by a number of brothers and sisters, Messrs. S. J. and I. L. McGuirt of Waxhaw, Curtis and F. L. McGuirt of Monroe, Ralph of Monroe township and H. T. McGuirt of Hoboken, N. J., and Mesdames r. D. Robinson of Waxhaw, and Mrs. Vernon Tomlinson of Monroe township, all of whom were present at the funeral yesterday afternoon when Rev. W. R. McIlwain, Dr. W. R.
