Linn, son of John and Frances Linn, was born near Scranton, Apr. 25, 1873, and died Mar. 2, 1958*, at the age of 85 years and 10 months. A retired farmer, he has spent most of life in and around the community where he was born. He had been in failing health since he suffered a stroke in November, 1957. He was married to Blanche Borders, Aug. 16, 1894. They had lived to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary. To this union seven children were born: two sons, Reuben and Grant, died in 1910. Surviving besides his wife, are: Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Esmay, Ralston; Floyd E. Linn, of Rippey; Harmon C. Linn, of Boone; Mrs. John (Irene) Philo, of Glidden; and Mrs. Philip (Grace) Brunn, of Brideport, Ill. He also leaves 25 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren. Mr. Linn was the third child in a family of 10. Five sisters and one brother are still living. These are: Mrs. Lura Garland of Jefferson, Mrs. Eva Eason of Scranton, Mrs. Etta Nesbitt of Ralston, Mrs. Cecil (Anne) Smith of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Mabel Baldwin of Hampton and Frank D. Linn of Scranton.
