He was born the son of Charles and Beulah(Cook)Arbogast on December 15, 1932 in Numa, Iowa. He graduated from the Numa Community Schools in 1951. He was born the son of Charles and Beulah(Cook)Arbogast on December 15, 1932 in Numa, Iowa. He graduated from the Numa Community Schools in 1951. Charles attended the Numa Christian Church in Numa, Iowa and also the Unionville Baptist Church in Unionville, Iowa. On August 10, 1955 he was united in marriage to Doris E. Turnnies in Clinton, Iowa. In this marriage there were two children born; Clifford and Mike Arbogast. Later Charles married LaDonna Fowler on April 8, 2000 in Nebraska. Charles worked at Dupont in Clinton, Iowa for 34 years. He attended the Numa Community Schools in Numa, Iowa. Charles served his country from November 1951 until October 1955. During his time of service he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. His most significant line of duty was aboard the USS Rockwall. Charles is preceded in death by; his parents, and first wife Doris Arbogast in 1996. He is survived by; his wife, LaDonna Arbogast of Moulton, Iowa; sons, Clifford and his wife, Carman Arbogast of Phientx, Arizona, and Mike and his wife, Diana Arbogast of Mayfield, Kentucky; step-sons Robert Olive of Phoenix, Arizona, and Steve McCoy of Robbinsdale, Minnesota; step-daughters Debra Hanson of Parkerburg, West Virginia, and Jill and her husband, Bruce Stark of Niobrara, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the Rev. Jesse Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Numa Cemetery in Numa, Iowa. Visitation will be held Friday December 18, 2009 from 1-8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials can be made to either the Numa Cemetery or Unionville Baptist Church and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
