Harvey, an esteemed citizen of Westernport living on Walnut street, Westernport Hill, died at his home of typhoid fever Monday morning last (August 2). Mr Harvey had been sick for about three weeks. Mr. Harvey was born in Garrett County out from the neighborhood of Swanton, January 21, 1871 and came to this place in June 1896, his occupation being that of an engineer and at the time of his death was employed at the Pulp and Paper Mill in Luke. Harvey, an esteemed citizen of Westernport living on Walnut street, Westernport Hill, died at his home of typhoid fever Monday morning last (August 2). Mr Harvey had been sick for about three weeks. Mr. Harvey was born in Garrett County out from the neighborhood of Swanton, January 21, 1871 and came to this place in June 1896, his occupation being that of an engineer and at the time of his death was employed at the Pulp and Paper Mill in Luke. He was married April 13, 1892 to Miss Ida A. Utley, sister of Mrs. D. A. Kell of Westernport. Besides the widow, there are two children left to sorrow at his early death. A father, mother, three brothers and two sisters survive him. The deceased was a member in good standing of Piedmont Council, Jr., O.U.A.M, his membership dating back some five or six years. Before coming to Westernport, Mr. Harvey was a member of the M.E. Church South, closely identified with its work. But a short time ago he transferred his membership to the Evangelical Lutheran church of Westernport. He was closely connected with the work of the Christian Endeavor Society of this church also. The funeral was Wednesday with interment at the cemetery adjacent to Mt Zion M.E. church near Swanton.
