Tuesday, July 2,2002, at his residence. Born Sepy. 29,1924, in North Vernon, he was the son of Willard N. and Ruth Mildred Phillips. He was married in Monticello to Eva Van Meter Dulin, who preceded in death. Mr. Low graduated from Sand Creek High School in Westport in 1942 and in 1956 he graduated from Purdue University with a degree in pharmacy. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific and Korea Liberation Force. Mr. Low came to Monticello in 1960 where he worked as a pharmacist with Holder Pharmacy. In 1971, he bought the business and formed Low Pharmacy. He later sold the pharmacy and worked for Hooks Drugs until he retired. Active in Democratic politics, he was elected to the Monticello City Council in 1968 and in 1972. He was a member of the Purdue Alumni Association, the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Temple of Indianapolis, Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion and Masonic Lodge. He was the past president of the Monticello Kiwanis Club. He also was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church. Survivors include an adopted daughter, Mary Wepfer, Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Sandra Schroeder, Monticello; one stepson, Michael E. Dulin, Monticello, one sister, Gladys Davis; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One brother, Dean Low, preceded in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Christian Church. Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
