(VanPelt) Newlon at St. Paul, Nebraska. Charlotte was raised in Palmer, Nebraska until moving to Grand Island, Nebraska during World War II. She graduated from Grand Island (NE.) High School in 1947 and attended college at Kearney for one year before going into Nurse's training at Lincoln General Hospital and graduated in 1951 as a register nurse. Charlotte was born on May 26, 1930 to Lyle Alva and Viola B. (VanPelt) Newlon at St. Paul, Nebraska. Charlotte was raised in Palmer, Nebraska until moving to Grand Island, Nebraska during World War II. She graduated from Grand Island (NE.) High School in 1947 and attended college at Kearney for one year before going into Nurse's training at Lincoln General Hospital and graduated in 1951 as a register nurse. She worked as a RN in a doctor's office in Lincoln General Hospital. She married J. Otto "Joe" Beyer on August 28, 1954 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They lived in Lincoln, Bloomfield and Weeping Water, Nebraska where Joe was a Funeral Director. They moved to Neligh, Nebraska in December 1967, where Joe worked for Hoepfinger Funeral Home which he later bought and their son, Andy later took over as Beyer Funeral Home. She worked at Antelope Memorial Hospital, Neligh, Nebraska as an RN charge nurse and was a director of Quality Assurance. Before retiring she worked as a Canteen nurse at the Red Cross Blood Mobile for many years. She was active in many organizations, Willows Executive Board, Hospital Auxiliary, Birthday Club, and Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Neligh, Nebraska served on the parish council, and a board member of the Willows. Charlotte loved to traveling all over the world. Charlotte is survived by: children: Vanessa and husband Dave Schueths of Gering, Nebraska, Doug Beyer of Papillion, Nebraska, Jeff and wife Cindy Beyer of Duncan, Oklahoma and Andy and wife Tricia Beyer of Neligh, Nebraska; grandchildren, April Schueths (Nate Palmer), Brain (Meg) Schueths, Jonathan Schueths, Chris Beyer, Angie Beyer, Meghan Beyer, Kelsey Beyer, Ben Beyer, Ian Beyer, Marty Beyer, and Danielle Beyer; great grandchildren, Lilly Palmer, Isaiah Simon, Harley Ann Beyer, and Markell Beyer; Sister, Lyla Kay and husband Donald Holst of Bellevue, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by: parents and husband, J. Otto "Joe" Beyer. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Neligh, Nebraska.
