Charlotte Ann Weidler was born July 12, 1934, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bertha (Baumgartner) and Rev. Victor D. Weidler. Charlotte Ann Weidler was born July 12, 1934, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bertha (Baumgartner) and Rev. Victor D. Weidler. Charlotte was baptized at Humbird, Wisconsin, and confirmed at Culver, Indiana. In 1949, she moved with her family from Culver, Indiana to rural Tripoli, where she attended high school. On May 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Marwin Blasberg at St. John's United Church of Christ-Siegel. In addition to raising her family, she worked in the office for the Rath Packing Company, and also for ConAgra Foods. She retired in December of 1999. Charlotte was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli, where she enjoyed participating in the bell choir. Family was very important to Charlotte; she liked to travel, including driving to see family! She also enjoyed quilting and gardening. Charlotte is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Bill) Scharnhorst of Waverly, Iowa, and Carma (Kenny) Kvidera of Tripoli; five sons, Steven (Luanne) Blasberg of Waterloo, Iowa, Brian (Lois) Blasberg of Bozeman, Montana, Scott (Julie) Blasberg of Tripoli, Iowa, Michael Blasberg of Tripoli, Iowa, and James (Jen) Blasberg of St. Louis, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marwin in January of 1995; her parents; and two sisters, Ruth Drape and Colleen Goodenbour. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli with Pastor Scott Duffus officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Tripoli. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, and for an hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
