Description	:	Charlotte A. Mees Ritter came to Nebraska to join her husband Jacob Rudolph who had immigrated about 6 years earlier. Her son Rudolph Jacob and daughter Helene Ritter Daake (Mrs. Fred) accompanied her to Nebraska in 1885. She was the mother of four children: Charlotte Helene Emma, 1865; Charlotte Eugenie, 1866; Jacob Roderich Rudolph, 1867; and Emma Helene, 1872. Two of the children came to Nebraska, Helene and Charles. Helene Daake and her son Fredrich died in 1893. After Charlotte husband's death in 1898, she made her home with Rudolph and his wife Anna. Two of the children came to Nebraska, Helene and Charles. Helene Daake and her son Fredrich died in 1893. After Charlotte husband's death in 1898, she made her home with Rudolph and his wife Anna. Census records show that Charlotte was the mother of four children but only one son, Rudolph, lived to raise a family. Two children must have died in Germany before the family came to Nebraska. Kearney Daily Hub, Saturday, January 13, 1917, pg. 7 CAME HERE IN EIGHTY-FIVE Mrs. Charlotte Ritter Dies at Her Home Near Pleasanton Mrs. Charlotte Ritter, aged seventy-five, died at the home of her son, Rudolph, near Pleasanton on Monday. (Jan. 8) Mrs. Ritter had been ailing for some time when death released her of her suffering. The funeral was held on Wednesday with services at the home at ten o'clock in the morning, conducted by Rev. Giles. The body was then taken to the German Lutheran church where services were held. Interment took place in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ritter who is survived solely by her son, came to this county in 1885.
