Charlotte was born February 27th, 1949 in Estelline, SD to Charles and Ona (Legler) Moeller. She attended elementary and high school in Bryant, SD. Read More	Charlotte Diane (Moeller) Currier (71) of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Wednesday February 10th, 2021 in her home, surrounded by family. Charlotte was born February 27th, 1949 in Estelline, SD to Charles and Ona (Legler) Moeller. She attended elementary and high school in Bryant, SD. Charlotte and her brother Doug had many happy memories of their childhood, and lived right across from the school in Bryant. She met her to-be husband, Doug Currier in High School in Bryant. They wed in 1965 and were married over 50 years up to Doug’s passing in 2017. They lived in Brookings in the early years of marriage where Doug attended SDSU, then moved to De Smet, SD where they ran a plumbing and heating business for 20 years. At the same time Charlotte opened a ceramic shop in their home and produced many works that she sold at regional craft shows. Following their move to Sioux Falls, Charlotte worked at Compro and then for several years at HSBC until her anxiously awaited retirement in 2012. She never really retired though; instead she spent the next 9 years happily caring for her grandchildren. Charlotte was an avid reader and instilled this passion in many members of her family; she always had a book with her or one ready on her tablet to read. Charlotte loved everything about cuisine and baking. She enjoyed cooking shows and also making dishes for her family. Many would say she was a “connoisseur” and critiqued with a keen taste…. except if her grandchildren made it, then no matter what it was always fantastic. Charlotte is survived by her mother Ona, her bother Doug Moeller and his wife Bonnie, her sister-in-law Joie Currier, her 4 children, daughters Barbara (Rod) Anderson, Sarah (Bernie) Hanson, Amanda (Jason) Willmott, and son Thomas (Kelly Phillips) Currier, her 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Kaleb, and Josh Anderson, Emma and Oliva Hanson, Gabby and Macy Willmott, and one great grandchild Noah Anderson. She also had many nephews, nieces and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Moeller and husband Doug Currier. A funeral service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD at 11am on Monday, February 15th 2021. Her family invites the public to a visitation/celebration of life at 10am before the service. Charlotte will be inurned at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Bryant, SD sometime later this year; a burial service and memorial gathering will be announced in the future.
