Read More	Hawk Eye, The (Burlington, IA) - Friday, March 21, 2003 Charlotte Elaine Burden , 63, of Parkview Apartments in West Point, formerly of New London and Mount Pleasant, died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born Sept. 2, 1939, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Floyd G. and Wilma G. Bain Ford. On June 1, 1958, she married Lyle C. Moore in Mount Pleasant. They later divorced. On Dec. 27, 1974, she married Junior John Wieneke in Mount Pleasant. He died in 1975. On Nov. 18, 1983, she married Richard Duane Burden . He died in 1993. Mrs. Burden worked for the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant for three years, the former Millspaugh Nursing Home for two years, and Henry County Headstart program for six years. In 1980, she became housekeeping supervisor for Iowa Wesleyan College. She retired in 1996. She was a 1958 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and West Point Garden Club. She liked to raise vegetables and flowers, embroider and play cards. She enjoyed following the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Link Funeral home in West Point, with a rosary recited at 4 p.m. and a scriptural wake service at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass for Mrs. Burden will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, with the Revs. Apo Mpanda and Barnabas Barker as concelebrants. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
