Born Nov. 9, 1907, in Decatur County, she was the daughter of Oliver and Isabell (Glenn) Robbins. She lived most of her life in Decatur and Franklin counties. She was a 1924 graduate of Laurel High School. She was a member of the Clarksburg Wesleyan Church. She married Thurman E Baker on June 27, 1931, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1987. Surviving are four sons: David N Baker of East Moline, Ill, Marion Baker of Litchfield Park, AZ, Gerald Baker of Buena Park, Calif, Irvin Baker of Andersonville; three daughter, Esther Emerson of Vincennes, Janet Feightner of Hazelton, Jeannie Cox of Clarksburg. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was precede in death by three sisters, one grandson, and five brothers. Services are pending, but will be held at the Clarksburg Wesleyan Church. Visitation is also pending, but will be at Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville.
