Description	:	Charlotte was born on July 10, 1923, in Hebron, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Charlotte "Lottie" (Lange) Birkholz. Her family moved to Columbus prior to her sixth birthday. She attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated in 1941. On April 21, 1942, Charlotte married John Roberts Nordeen in Norfolk, NE. The couple moved to Seattle where John worked in the naval shipyards. In 1946, they returned to Norfolk. She raised her family of three children in Norfolk. Read More	Charlotte was born on July 10, 1923, in Hebron, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Charlotte "Lottie" (Lange) Birkholz. Her family moved to Columbus prior to her sixth birthday. She attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated in 1941. On April 21, 1942, Charlotte married John Roberts Nordeen in Norfolk, NE. The couple moved to Seattle where John worked in the naval shipyards. In 1946, they returned to Norfolk. She raised her family of three children in Norfolk. Charlotte loved her family deeply and enjoyed many friends. She was an avid bowler and golfer in her younger years. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile, and served at the Methodist Men's Breakfast. Charlotte was a member of the Eastern Star and Questers. She and John loved antiques. They enjoyed many summers at their lake home on Star Lake, MN. In 2009, Charlotte moved to Wakefield, NE and joined Salem Lutheran Church. She made many new friends and loved her daily activities of playing cards, knitting and cutting quilt squares at the Wakefield Health Care Center. Charlotte is survived by her children, Jerry (Marilyn) Nordeen of Norfolk, Christine (Mike) Salmon of Wakefield and Cherie (Rodney) Mathison of Hickson, ND; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John, two brothers, Otto and Paul Birkholz; a great-granddaughter, Makayla Meyer; and a nephew, Dan Birkholz. Services for Charlotte will be at 4pm Sunday at Home For Funerals in Norfolk, NE. The Rev. Barbara Hanson will officiate. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
