Description	:	Charlotte died of natural causes while en route from Ulm (Montana) to her home on the farm east of Cascade (Montana). She spent her first six years in Elliston, Montana, and then moved to Cascade. She went to the Travis one-room school, which was a mile from her home, through eighth grade, and graduated from Cascade High School in 1954. She married Bill Cummings on Dec. 19, 1954, in Cascade. She spent her first six years in Elliston, Montana, and then moved to Cascade. She went to the Travis one-room school, which was a mile from her home, through eighth grade, and graduated from Cascade High School in 1954. She married Bill Cummings on Dec. 19, 1954, in Cascade. They lived in Vallejo and San Diego, Calif., for a year. They then moved back to Cascade, where they owned and operated a farm and ranch for 40-some years. Charlotte was a 50-year member of the Cascade Chapter No.101 O.E.S.; the Sapphires Temple No. 79; the Cascade-Ulm Nile Club; the Cascade Methodist Church; the Castner Falls Home Demonstration Club; and a 4-H leader for years. She loved reading, sewing and embroidering until her sight failed from macular degeneration in 1992. She was also an avid bowler until the oxygen tank got in the way. She then took up playing bingo and having fun with her grandkids. She is survived by a daughter, two sons, a brother, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2003; her parents; and a sister, Beverly Richmond. Published in Great Falls Tribune on July 11, 2010
